Product Update - March 2022

This month we focused on improving sales content management and multi-channel content distribution: sharing via QR codes, distribution of rich media content via emails, asset tagging and tag-based retrieval, and grid views with content previews.

Product Update - March 2022

This months we focused on improving sales content management and multi-channel content distribution:

  1. Sharing of sales content via QR codes
  2. Distribution of content via HTML-formatted email messages
  3. Asset tagging and tag-based retrieval
  4. Asset grid view with content previews

QR Codes

Hybrid selling combines in-person and virtual interactions.

For example, a seller can meet a prospect at a conference, discuss their needs at a high level, and later follow up with a link to a digital sales room containing in-depth materials.

This link can be sent via email. It can also be converted to a QR code and printed on the back of a business card.  The prospect can scan the code with their phone at a convenient time to view the materials.

To facilitate hybrid selling, we added the ability to generate QR codes for web links created on Morebell.

In the example below, we generate a QR code for a web link pointing to an ROI calculator microapp.

HTML-formatted Emails

When sending a web link to an asset stored on Morebell, to increase the chance of the recipient clicking on the link, it would be nice to include the link's preview image and description.

We are making this possible through integration with Outlook and Gmail web APIs. Email messages are sent from the user's personal email address, which dramatically improves deliverability and open rates.

The video below demonstrates sending a link to a 3D model wrapped with a Morebell microapp. Observe how the model thumbnail image and description are automatically included in the email message.

Asset Tagging

Gartner reports that professionals spend 50% of their time searching for information and, on average, take 18 minutes to locate a document. As the number of sales assets grows, it becomes necessary to organize them to facilitate search and retrieval.

Creating a deep folder tree and placing assets in various folders is common. Unfortunately, it does not work in practice. A document can logically belong to several folders. Finding the right folder takes time.

Tagging is a much better approach. An asset can be tagged with several terms, such as "demo video", "sales presentation", "product A", and others. To find the right asset, one selects relevant tags from a menu.

With this update, Morebell sales content repository provides asset tagging and tag-based search and retrieval.

Grid View

Morebell automatically generates image previews for various types of sales assets: presentations, videos, documents, microapps, and others.

With the newly added grid view, these preview images can now be used to quickly locate an asset in the content repository.
